DOWN Guitarist Is 'Ready' For First-Ever European Tour
March 16, 2006DOWN guitarist Kirk Windstein (also of CROWBAR) has confirmed the group's plans to launch their first-ever European tour in May. Speaking to 4QRadio.com earlier this week, Windstein said, "I don't know the dates or anything, but we're coming over sometime in May and into June. We're doing a couple of festivals and I'm sure we'll do headliners in the U.K. — at least London and maybe one other place or something. It seems like it's really highly anticipated, which is good. Philip [Anselmo, vocals; ex-PANTERA] is doing fantastic, Jimmy Bower [drums] is doing fantastic. Phil had his back surgery, he's healing three or four months ahead of time, working out again, everything — he's in great shape, his attitude is unbeliebable. It's like going back 10, 12 years or something — his attitude and stuff. He's doing really, really good. He's pumped and excited about it, so I'm ready."
